Fundraiser · Aaron and Ryan

I have gorgeous twin boys Aaron and Ryan both diagnosed with Leukodystrophy. Ryan was diagnosed at 3 years old, Aaron at 5. Both boys were normal healthy boys until then, running around and getting into mischief, as boys do. I remember been told "I had more chance of winning lotto" than to have the two boys with the disease.

Recently I have been in touch with a doctor in Queensland that can offer the boys treatment to improve their quality of life and possibly slow down the progression of the disease, but this treatment has to be funded privately.

Ryan and Aaron are my only children and I love them with all my heart, and I will continue to do all that I can for them, but I need your help and support.

Thank you in anticipation.

Federal Government · Stronger Communities Grants

The Federal Coalition Government has launched a new Grant Programme – Stronger Communities Programme. This programme is designed to fund small capital projects for reputable not for profit organisations.

Under the programme funding of $150000 per year over two years will be available to support projects in the Pearce Electorate. pplicants can seek a grant of at least $5000 and up to a maximum of $20000 and must match the grant in cash or in kind on at least a dollar for dollar basis. Guidelines for the Programme can be found here.

A Community Consultation Committee has been established to assist in identifying and considering worthwhile projects within our electorate. If you can identify a project within your community that falls within the guidelines please have the not for profit organisation complete and return the Expression of Interest Form to the office of Christian Porter by 16th September 2015 by emailing of

The Expressions of Interest will be appraised against the guidelines to ensure that all eligibility requirements are met and to ascertain whether funding the project would be a proper use of this grant funding. Successful EOIs will be invited to apply for project funding and will be provided access to the Department’s online application process. Online applications for this funding close on 30th October 2015.
