City of Swan · Waste and Recycling Survey

The City of Swan, through consultation with the community, has established that residents may wish for more waste and recycling collection options.

The City will be distributing a survey pamphlet to businesses in the Gidgegannup townsite. A number of businesses have agreed to assist the City with this. Residents will be able to pick up copies of the survey from 11th October, 2010 at these premises, which will be advertised via posters on the businesses’ windows, on the City of Swan and community websites, in the Gidgegram and possibly in local papers.

Residents are asked to take the pamphlet, read the multiple choice options and specify which option they favour. A drop-off ballot day is then proposed for the 22nd and 23rd of October at the City of Swan Rural Place Office, Gidgegannup (stand alone office behind Shell Garage) where residents can bring their filled-in survey.

This drop-off ballot point will be attended by City of Swan staff who will check the returned surveys against the residents in the area who qualify to participate in the survey.

The survey results will be advertised in local papers, City of Swan and community websites, the Gidgegram and at the various businesses’ windows. A contact number for enquiries will also be listed.
