West Gidge Fire Brigade · News and Fire Advice June 2010

Restricted Burning Season ends 31st May unless extended. Permits are required until then. Be reminded that not requiring a permit in no way exonerates you from the responsibility to safely manage any burning. You are still liable for any consequences of loss of control of a fire. You should always have a secure perimeter firebreak, an effective means of extinguishment, notify neighbours of all but the smallest burns, and don’t leave fires unattended unless completely safe to do so.

Gidgegannup Development · Port Bouvard stops Gidgegannup project

This agreement also has implications for our Gidgegannup project and at this stage we have negotiated with Riseley Investments to cancel our future options for the nominated townsite and rural land holdings.

We wish to extend our sincerest thanks to Local and State Governments and the Gidgegannup community who have worked alongside us over the last three years in developing a vision for Gidgegannup.

Gidgegannup Development · Blow for townsite vision

Gidgegannup Development · Gidgegannup Option Cancellation

In July 2007, certain subsidiaries of Port Bouvard Limited entered into three separate put and call option agreements in respect of englobo land in Gidgegannup.

The Board has now determined that the exercise price of the options is significantly above the current market value of the remaining townsite lots which were the subject of the Option Agreements. This deterioration had previously resulted in a write-down of the value of the original Gidgegannup land acquired from its cost of $36 million to $4.85 million as at 31 December 2009.

Accordingly, Port Bouvard Limited and certain subsidiaries have entered into a cancellation agreement with the vendor of the Gidgegannup land (Riseley Investments) whereby the Option Agreements are cancelled and the relevant subsidiary’s rights and obligations under the Option Agreements are released.
